So after much experimenting during the semester, this is the final product. The materials are ordinary building supplies and the imagery is drawn from geometric Islamic designs. The concept behind this piece is that through the contrast of materials, the ordinary becomes transformed into the sublime, as well as acting as a trigger, creating an atmosphere of contemplation and a rethinking of the space, motifs and materials.
